Nani Yeouido: Izakaya with Private Booths at Yeouido Station Exit 3

    In short

Nani is a Japanese-style izakaya on the 3rd floor of the S-Trenue building, about 80 m from Yeouido Station Exit 3 in Seoul’s business district. It is known for partitioned booth seating and drinking snacks such as beef tataki and yakisoba with Asahi draft beer. It opens Monday to Saturday from 17:00 to 02:00 and is closed on Sundays.

Yeouido is Seoul’s finance district, packed with office towers, so after-work drinking spots fill up fast. I was meeting a friend I had not seen in a while and wanted somewhere close to the station where we could actually hear each other. Nani (나니) Yeouido turned out to be exactly that: an izakaya with partitioned seats, a view of the city at night, and snacks made for beer.

    Finding it

Come out of Exit 3 of Yeouido Station and the S-Trenue building is right in front of you. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Because it is so close to the station, it is an easy meeting point after work, which matters in Yeouido, where it can be hard to find a table in the evening.

The entrance already feels like a Japanese pub.

The entrance is full of Japanese pub-style signs and decorations. Inside, the seats are separated by partitions, so you are not sitting on top of the next table. With warm lighting and a view over Yeouido at night from the window side, it felt relaxed rather than noisy.

What I liked most was how easy it was to talk. When you have a lot to catch up on, not having to shout over other tables makes a big difference.

    What we ordered

    1. Beef tataki (소고기 다다끼, so-gogi da-da-kki)

Our first plate was beef tataki: thin slices of beef seared on the outside and left red in the middle. It had a good, beefy flavor and came with a dipping sauce. Each slice is topped with wasabi, and there are sliced onions and crispy garlic chips to eat with it.

Overall it is on the salty side, which is exactly why it works with beer. Dip it in the sauce for more savoriness, or wrap a slice around some onion for a cleaner bite. If you are not sure what to start with, this is the plate I would order first.

    2. Asahi draft beer (아사히 생맥주)

Not much to say here except that it was very smooth and went down easily with the salty snacks. Even on a night when you are not drinking much, a draft beer and one or two plates make for a satisfying evening.

    3. Yakisoba (야끼소바)

The yakisoba portion was huge. It was packed with cabbage, bean sprouts and carrot, topped with bonito flakes, and had a nice smoky, wok-fried flavor. The noodles were bouncy and well seasoned, salty enough to call for another sip of beer.

It is easily enough for two to share, so it works as a meal as well as a drinking snack. With so many vegetables it never felt greasy, and going back and forth between the yakisoba and the tataki kept things balanced.

    Tips for visitors

    • Book ahead on weekdays. Yeouido is busy right after office hours; Naver reservations are open for 2–10 people.
    • Closed on Sundays. It opens at 17:00 Monday to Saturday and stays open until 2 a.m.
    • Order to share. Plates are large and priced for sharing, so two dishes plus drinks is plenty for two people.
    • Ask for a window seat if you want the night view; most other seats are in partitioned booths.
    • Ordering phrase: “Saengmaekju du jan juseyo” means “Two draft beers, please.”

    My verdict

Nani Yeouido is an easy pick when you want a drink near Yeouido Station without a loud, crowded room. The beef tataki, the generous yakisoba and a cold Asahi made a simple but very satisfying combination, and the partitioned seats let us talk all evening. I would recommend it for office workers, friends catching up, or anyone staying around Yeouido who wants a relaxed Japanese-style pub.
