Hi, and welcome to Seoul Table Notes.
I am a Seoul-based parent of two, and I have been keeping a restaurant diary on my Korean blog since 2019. Most of these meals were eaten together with my kids, so I recommend places we have actually tried as a family, and I pay attention to things like seating, portion sizes, spice levels and how easy a place is for first-timers.
This site is where I rewrite those notes for visitors. Korean restaurant information is mostly written in Korean and spread across apps that are hard to use without a local phone number, so I add the details that I think travelers actually need:
- Nearest subway station and exit
- How ordering works (kiosk, table tablet, paper menu, English menu or not)
- Menu names in Korean with romanization
- Prices in KRW with a rough USD estimate
- Whether it works for kids or solo diners
- A Naver Map link and the date I last checked the information
How I write
- Every post is based on a meal I actually had, with my own photos.
- Opening hours and prices change, so I check them before publishing and note the date. Please double-check on Naver Map before you go.
- I use AI tools to help with English wording and translation. The visits, photos, opinions and facts are mine and are checked by me.
